Run A Lot

I tried to run away from home once, then I realized I had nowhere to go and it was cold. So, my running turned into walking back home. Now that I’m older I enjoy walking out of my door and then running to my destination. Whenever you decide to do this, make sure you’re in jogging clothes and you’re not running past stores. Doing that is a bad idea because the cops might think you’re running because you committed a crime.

Ok enough of the jokes, let’s look at some of the benefits of running:

1.       Running is one of the best aerobic exercises for physically conditioning of your heart and lungs.
2.       Running is a great stress-reliever and may even relieve mild depression.
3.       Most Runners experience “runner’s high” It’s a euphoric, clear, and calm feeling after a long run.
4.       As a runner, you’ll likely feel more energetic and creative.
5.       Running helps you improve your fitness and stamina.
6.       Running also increases bone density.
7.       running is an extremely efficient way to burn calories and drop pounds.
8.       Running burns about 100 calories per mile for a 150-pound person
9.       Because running  builds muscle mass, your resting metabolism will increase, which means that you’ll burn more calories at rest.

Health tip: The proper form while running is very important in order to get the most out of your workout.  You should always keep your head straight and look forward while you run. You will bounce and move as you run, that’s not a problem. Keep your shoulders relaxed. Keep your hips in alignment with your head in order not to put strain on your back. Keep your knees low, you will use less energy by doing so. Your arms should be close to your body and move back and forth. Don’t forget to breathe deeply, exhale fully and relax!

Safety tip: If you decide to run in the street instead of in a gym don’t play your music too loud. This way you can still be aware of your surroundings. Before you run it’s best to stretch in order to warm up and get your body ready. When you get closer to your destination its best to slow down and walk. By doing this you allow your heart rate to slow down with your body. When you are finished stretch again, and then you are done!

Don’t miss the opportunities in your daily life where you can run, pick up a light jog, or walk fast without looking like a criminal (lol). You will feel awesome and everyone will get to marvel at your awesome body as you work on having a better one.
