Faith Without Work

I remember being told a story a long time ago of a lady who was going to get evicted. There was this woman who was about to be evicted from her home. So she fell to her knees and began to pray for hours at a time, daily. All she would do was pray, sleep, and eat. Then finally the landlord came to evict her while she was on her knees praying. She said to the lord “I had faith, I prayed every day, and you didn’t answer my prayers, why God?”

His response was “I did answer your prayers, I blessed you with everything you needed, your health, your strength, and your wisdom, those things were all you needed to pay your bills and stop the eviction. You choose not to do the work.” Faith without work is useless as stated in James 2:20.

So ladies, asking the lord to help you lose weight and not putting in the work will not get you results. Be thankful, pray, believe, put in the work, and receive the blessings. Love you all, stay motivated!
