Please The Lord

When God is number 1 in your life, everything else seems to fall into place. When you focus on pleasing the lord and doing what is pleasing to the lord, life becomes a lot easier. Decisions that may have been hard in the past become easy. Loving God and Acknowledging God is 1 in your life, will make you live your life in a different way.

“Is what I’m about to do pleasing to the lord, or pleasing to my flesh?” This is a question I have to ask myself very often. I know you’ve heard the saying “everything that looks good to you isn’t always good for you”. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way too many times. By asking myself this question I’ve been able to avoid a lot of temporary pleasure and permanent pain.

Think about anything you’ve done, that you know wasn’t pleasing in God’s sight but pleasing to your flesh, how long did the pleasure last? Sometimes it’s difficult to choose God’s way instead of our own, but I can tell you it’s a decision worth making. You may suffer for choosing God’s way, but I can promise you the light at the end of the tunnel is better than anything you can receive now that is pleasing to your flesh.

I choose to look at the decisions I make as tests. I think of it as God telling me “here is your test, if you pass it and learn the lesson, you will never have to take it again!” Now I am determined to pass every test that comes my way. There is nothing like repeating the same trials and tribulations over and over because you choose not to pass the test and therefor you didn’t understand the lesson. So before you make another move today ask yourself “who am I pleasing?”
