I remember a time when I was on a strict diet (or so I thought). I would exercise, and eat healthy meals on a daily basis. Then Friday rolled around and my friends would invite me to dinner or to a club. One night I went to dinner and ordered salmon, a salad, and two wild mango daiquiris. My salmon and salad came out to about 500 calories. My wild mango daiquiri was 900 calories, remember I had two. Talk about a setback!
Ladies when you are trying to lose weight it is best to eliminate all alcohol consumption. Ask yourself this question, why do I drink? Your answer might be because of the taste, atmosphere, and feeling I get. If you are on a diet and attempt to drink low calorie mixture, the taste is going to be less than desirable. In the club a glass of cranberry juice looks the same as a vodka and cranberry and a shot of water looks the same as a shot of vodka. Instead of drinking for appearances, appear to be drinking.
When people use the excuse of wanting the feeling they get I always ask them what feeling? The feeling of not being in control of yourself, the feeling of vomiting all night long, or the feeling of the hangover you have in the morning? Ladies healthy is sexy. There is nothing like being in a club filled with people and sticking out for positive reasons. When a man asks to buy you a drink and you don’t choose an alcoholic beverage it speaks volumes. It lets him know, If you’re trying to get with me it won’t be easy and you have to come equip with a better tool then alcohol. If he has a problem and pushes the issue of alcohol even though you told him your reasoning, then you know his intentions immediately and you can move on.
So ladies stay away from alcohol while on a diet. Once you achieve your desired weight and you continue to maintain it, it’s fine to have a glass of red wine every now in then. Just remember moderation is the key. If you can avoid drinking all together, do so! Your body will thank you for it.
