Do you ever stop and consider how you feel about what people say? Do you concern yourself with what people think about you? If so I can promise that when you look at yourself, think about yourself, and care about yourself, what people think about you will no longer matter.
“Look at yourself” I honestly don’t remember where I first heard this idea, but I’m sure it was in a book. Doing this has changed my life in so many positive ways that I feel obligated to share it with all of you. Honestly when you realize that it doesn’t matter what people think about you, only what you think about yourself, this method will truly change your life. There is nothing difficult about it, it’s simple, and you can do it all of the time.
All you have to do is imagine yourself hovering over your actual body. Watch everything you do, the way you look, the things you say, the way you spend your time, etc. Critique yourself the way you critique others. While you are doing so, you can also correct yourself in that moment. Just imagine yourself being truly proud of what you see yourself doing every minute of the day. If your daily goal is to make yourself proud, you will never waste time.
Once you do this and you become happy with the person you are, life runs a lot smoother and you begin to look at the world in a whole new light. You will no longer care about what others think or say about you. All that will truly matter is what you think, say, and feel about yourself. Instead of caring about the way others treat you, you will care more about how they feel about themselves. You will care about what others think and how they treat themselves. It will make everything make sense. How can you expect someone to treat you right when they don’t treat themselves right? So give it a try and let me know how it effects your life.
